Apple iPhone SE released only weeks ago is reported to hold problems during calls when the handset is connected via Bluetooth to any wireless audio output, either car’s audio or any other headset, reported MacRumors.Many users have reported this issue on various platforms including Apple’sofficial support community. Some users even claim that they faced similar issue with voice navigation feature.According to the publication, a similar issue occurred on previous iterations of iPhones, when the iOS 8 was released, but was later resolved in iOS 8.1.This time around also, it does not appear to be a hardware issue, as the audio over Bluetooth connections seems to work fine while playing music. However, it is yet to be confirmed if it is only software to blame, since all iPhone SE are based on iOS 9.3 or 9.3.1 and both the versions of iOS have been reported with this problem; the company has not even reported to have fixed it in iOS 9.3.2 beta. It is interesting to note that iPhone 6 and 6s, running iOS 9.3 or higher, have not been reported with any such issue.Judging from all the online complaints, the disappointing audio quality over Bluetooth makes it difficult to continue phones calls irrespective of what vehicle brand or model the handset is connected to. Even basic troubleshooting methods such as a soft reset, reconnecting devices, changing or resetting networks have provided no solution.The tech giant has acknowledged this issue and claims to be working on the possible solutions. Although it is a minor issue that does not affect device’s functionality, but it does hurt the credibility of Apple’s devices among loyalists.Failing to provide a quick solution to the problem, the iPhone maker could gain negative impression such as price drop at the cost of quality reduction..These reports are putting out negative word in the market, but Apple seems to have made some compromise in terms of quality. Apart from Bluetooth, the results of tests such as bend, drop, and water resistance, carried out on iPhone 5SE suggest the same. The findings of all these tests were compared with iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, and despite being smaller with studier built, it was found to be less durablethan the last two models.
