PHOTOS: 11 burnt to death in bus accident at Otedola Bridge, Lagos

At least 8 bus passengers died this evening in a fatal accident that happened at Otedola Bridge axis of Berger Lagos.According to LASEMA, a fully loaded Danfo bus carrying 15 passengers lost control and somersaulted three times before catching fire.
The impact of the lone crash reportedly caused 11 passengers to pass out and in the process, the bus caught fire, burning them alive.2 passengers were rescued alive by LASEMA operatives around 6:10pm today.

According to Police PPRO, Dolapo Badmos, the accident happened around 6:00pm.She added that the bus was heading towards Berger from Mushin when the tyre bust and subsequently somersaulted 3 times before going up in flames.The driver of the vehicle reportedly fled the scene of the accident.
