Widely publicized as Africa’s
biggest act in 2016, musician Wizkid has added to
his long list of accolades by getting a nomination
in the ‘Best African Act’ category at the 2016
Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards.
Other Nigerian stars like Olamide, Tiwa Savage,
Yemi Alade and Tekno, who have all had a big
year on the African music scene, are also in
contention for the coveted award.
Also nominated for the Best African Act award are
Mr Eazi, Moelogo, Mista Silva, Eugy, and Kwamz &
Flava.
This number of nominees in this category will be
reduced to five final nominees.
The 2016 edition of MOBO Awards will hold at
Glasgow’s SSE Hydroon in the United Kingdom.
