It comes one month after Shaun Abrahams announced the withdrawal of the corruption charges leveled against Finance minister Pravin Gordhan and two former SA Revenue Service staff Ivan Pillay and Oupa Magashule.
In a short extracted letter released by Eyewitness News, the President wrote to Abrahams that he has until November 28 to make representations to keep his job.
‘I hereby afford you an opportunity to make written representations as to why I should not place you on suspension pending the outcome of an inquiry into your fitness to hold office.’
