Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp turned down the opportunity to film an All or Nothing series from Amazon, a documentary that would show behind-the-scenes footage of Liverpool in their challenge for the English Premier League title.
The Amazon Prime fly-on-the-wall show went behind the scenes with Manchester City last season, capturing their 2017-18 success in incredible detail, in which they won two of four contested trophies
The All or Nothing series about City became a huge success and it was well received by football fans.
The highlight of the series was footage from Pep Guardiola's dressing room talks.
According to UK paper Daily Mail, Klopp was 'chiefly responsible for turning down an approach'.
Amazon was keen to follow Liverpool this season, as they are 'most likely team to mount a sustained challenge to City for the English Premier League title'.
The Liverpool board was already prepared to let the camera's in, but the German manager had the decisive vote and shot it down.
Klopp believes there is nothing to be gained from fly-on-the-wall exposure and that people’s behaviour changes when they are on camera.
And the Reds boss didn't want to let any intruders in. The refusal of the series also has financial consequences.
It is understood that Man City were paid £9.9million (N4.69bn) by Amazon for last year's series.
Now, Amazon has shifted their attention to the Bundesliga, hoping to strike a deal with Bayern Munich.
