She had the perfect height any lady would asked for from God. She was beautiful, smart, social and physically endowed. You can't walk past her without turning around to see if your eyes were deceiving you or not... But she was very stubborn and problematic.. Her name was Kindness.
kindness lost both her parents to the cold hands of death at the age of three. She was raised by her paternal relations. At the age of twenty-two, she came to Port Harcourt for a greener pasture but luckily for her, she was introduced to work as a cleaner for a rich woman whose four kids were all working in Canada. She wasn't living with the woman but was always on time to do her work and leave when necessary.
Kindness was introduced to a church and as time goes by, she became a strong member of that church. Her goal in life was to be nothing but a lawyer. She was saving the little salary she was been paid for an admission in any university that was ready to accept her, but Jamb wasn't friendly to her.
Within a short period of time, everyone knew Kindness as a problematic person in her neighbourhood and also in the church she was attending. She quarreled with both big and small except the senior pastor. At times you do hear people saying: "beauty without character is indeed rubbish." Due to her lack of education and good character, she was tagged an illiterate.
In her third year in Port Harcourt, she fell madly in love with her church keyboardist. They started seeing each other secretly. Her pastor got to know about the secret relationship and warned them to stay off each other because of sin or if they were truly in love, they should try and settle down as man and wife in order to avoid sin. They pastor also called the keyboardist to consider his choice due to the girl's character. She also warned the girl privately, but all fell on deaf ears.
One day, Kindness' rich madam called her and told her that her four kids in Canada wants her to relocate but she (the madam) doesn't want to leave Nigeria without Kindness. The rich woman promised Kindness that she'd send her to school over there and also informed Kindness that she had told her kids to be expecting two persons not just their mother alone. She left Kindness with this word: "go and think about your relocation to Canada and give me a reply in a week's time." But when Kindness told her keyboardist boyfriend about the great plans her madam had for her, the boy pleaded with her to reject the Canada offer. He told her that he can't live without her. He so brainwashed her that the next thing Kindness saw herself doing was telling the madam that she won't be relocating to Canada with her. Her rejection broke her madam's heart because the woman loved her as a daughter. The madam later went to Canada with her cook that was a single mother of one.
Three months after her madam's relocation, Kindness go pregnant out of wedlock for her keyboardist boyfriend. The church was devastated but had to forgive them after they had served their suspensions. That pregnancy produced a baby girl. And few months after delivering, Kindness brought out her true self before her baby daddy. They were fighting and embarrassing themselves everywhere even in the church. It got to a point that after one of their fights in the church premises when the service was on, the senior pastor threatened to expel them. Three days for their baby to clock one year, she died. Kindness later stopped church but her baby daddy was still attending. It was later discovered that the reason she stopped the church was because she was pregnant with another child. When the church heard about her pregnancy, they pretended as if nothing happened but was fed up with the keyboardist. The church didn't stop the keyboardist from attending the church or carrying out his duty for God because, according to the senior pastor, "God doesn't prevent anyone from coming to him."
The keyboardist continued with the church but when Kindness' second pregnancy was seven months, the keyboardist impregnated a minor in the same church. This forced the pastor to curse and expel him from the church. The news of the shame spread like wildfire. Kindness went to the pastor and cried her eyes out. There she told the pastor how she rejected a lifetime opportunity because of that boy. She also confessed that it was the boy that made her to quit the church. A lot of confessions were made.
It was later gathered that the keyboardist asked her to forget about him and move on with his life that he had made up his mind to marry the minor he impregnated. In the other hand, the family of the minor he impregnated dealt so badly with him that he had to abandon his marriage plans and go into hiding. Kindness later gave birth to a boy but life was never easy for her. She was no longer working and barely eat. Her baby daddy was a deadbeat father who was only visiting her just to hit her for either saying rubbish about him or trying to get money from him for their son's feeding.
Kindness decided to move on with her life. But as usual, she had a big fight with her neighbour who promised to deal with her mercilessly. Two weeks after, the neighbour packed out. Exactly a month after the fight, Kindness died of an unknown sickness. Her baby daddy was called to come and carry his son that his baby mama was late. With fear, he went to his former pastor, apologised for all his wrongs and informed her that his baby mama had died of an unknown illness. Though Kindness stopped attending the church for almost three years before her death, but when her death was announced, everyone wept with a broken heart including the pastor. She died at the age of twenty-seven without fulfilling her destiny and achieving the reason why she moved down to Port Harcourt.
And as for the minor who's the keyboardist second baby mama, she later gave birth to a baby girl but her family have not allowed the keyboardist to see his daughter who will be clocking five any moment from now.
