It looks like AS Monaco will have a managerial change very soon.
According to the French press, Leonardo Jardim and the club have decided to part ways. Monaco have had a dreadful start of the season, sitting only at the 18th spot in Ligue 1.
The French club hasn't won a single game except for the opening match and last Saturday they suffered their fourth consecutive defeat in the league.
Nice-Matin claims that it has been a mutual decision to terminate the contract of Jardim and that it was not a sacking.
The club and the coach are currently discussing the details of his termination and it is expected that an agreement will be reached within 36 hours.
AS Monaco are exploring their options at the moment. Former Arsenal star Robert Pirès, River Plate coach Marcelo Gallardo and former Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc are on their shortlist, but Thierry Henry is reportedly on pole position to replace Jardim.
The Arsenal icon is currently Roberto Martinez' assistant at the Belgium national team and has played for the French club earlier in his professional career.
According to ESPN, Henry and Monaco are close to an agreement. There has already been contact between the two and 'there are just a few details to be ironed' before they will officially confirm signing him.
