The five victims of the Leicester helicopter crash have been named including billionaire chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and hero pilot Eric Swaffer who steered the stricken aircraft in a 'dead man's curve' away from football fans on the ground.
The club issued a statement late on Sunday confirming Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and four others were killed when the
aircraft fell from the sky and burst into flames at the south east end of the King Power Stadium at about 8.30pm.
Leicester police confirmed the other four people on board the helicopter were two members of staff, beauty queen Nursara Suknamai, Kaveporn Punpare and also pilot Eric Swaffer and his girlfriend and co-pilot Izabela Roza Lechowicz.
The 60-year-old, who bought the club for £39 million (N18 billion) in 2010 and led it to a first English Premier League title in 2015-16 was described as a 'great man' of 'kindness' and 'generosity'.

A statement released by the club this evening said:
"It is with the deepest regret and a collective broken heart that we confirm our Chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, was among those to have tragically lost their lives on Saturday evening when a helicopter carrying him and four other people crashed outside King Power Stadium.
"None of the five people on-board survived.
"The primary thoughts of everyone at the Club are with the Srivaddhanaprabha family and the families of all those on-board at this time of unspeakable loss.
"In Khun Vichai, the world has lost a great man. A man of kindness, of generosity and a man whose life was defined by the love he devoted to his family and those he so successfully led.
"Leicester City was a family under his leadership. It is as a family that we will grieve his passing and maintain the pursuit of a vision for the Club that is now his legacy.
"A book of condolence, which will be shared with the Srivaddhanaprabha family, will be opened at King Power Stadium from 8am on Tuesday 30 October for supporters wishing to pay their respects.

"Both Tuesday's First Team fixture against Southampton in the EFL Cup and the Development Squad fixture against Feyenoord in the Premier League International Cup have been postponed.
"Everyone at the Club has been truly touched by the remarkable response of the football family, whose thoughtful messages of support and solidarity have been deeply appreciated at this difficult time."
Heartbroken Leicester City fans gathered to lay flowers at the King Power Stadium on Sunday after the owner's helicopter came crashing down to earth and burst into flames shortly after taking off from the ground on Saturday night.
Supporters branded it Leicester's 'darkest day', paying tribute to the much-loved owner who helped them to a miracle Premier League victory in 2016.
As matches took place across England on Sunday, fans fell silent in solidarity with Leicester. There was a minute's applause held at Crystal Palace and a minute's silence at Manchester United and Burnley.
Mr Srivaddhanaprabha's helicopter was heading for Luton Airport where he was due to catch a flight to Thailand, Leicester sources said.
This is very painful. May the souls of the departed rest in perfect peace...
