Everton are considering a shock move for former Arsenal and Manchester City star Samir Nasri with midfielder approaching end of his drugs ban.
Nasri is free to train with clubs again from next month when his drugs ban expires.
The 31-year old Frenchman is a free agent, having left Turkish Super Lig side Antalyaspor last January, when he was given a drugs ban for receiving an intravenous drip treatment in Los Angeles clinic in December 2016 when he was playing for Sevilla on loan from City.
It was reported that the treatment, taken while on holiday, was being used for hydration purposes, but was found to contain micronutrient components that are banned byWorld Anti-Doping Agency banned list.
Nasri was initially banned for six months but that was subsequently increased to 18 months.
According to a report in the UK paper Daily Mail, Everton boss Marco Silva is considering bringing Nasri back to English football.
Nasri spent three years at Arsenal between 2008 and 2011 but enjoyed most success at Man City where he won the league twice and also the League Cup.
