Conor McGregor has received a one-month suspension following his defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229.
McGregor lost to the Russian via submission in the fourth round of their lightweight championship clash on Saturday.
A statement from UFC confirmed that McGregor will not be cleared to fight until November 6 and is not allowed to compete in any sparring sessions until October 28.
McGregor was not scheduled to compete within the next four weeks.
Anthony Pettis, who suffered a broken hand in his defeat to Tony Ferguson at UFC 229, has been given a medical suspension which could last up to six months.
Nurmagomedov’s victory over McGregor sparked a mass brawl between both parties with the Russian fighter leaping over the octagon fence to punch Dillon Danis, McGregor’s training partner.
Punches were also exchanged between McGregor and Nurmagomedov’s team inside the octagon. UFC president Dana White has confirmed that Nurmagomedov will be suspended for his actions and also faces a hefty fine.
