Brazilian wonderkid and Real Madrid prospect Vinicius Jr. opened up about his feelings toward superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and praised his Croatian teammate Luka Modric.
While on international duty for the Brazilian U20 squad, playing a match against Chile, Real Madrid acquisition Vinicius Jr. was the center of attention once again.
At this point, the 18-year-old has developed into a household name around the world. Bought by Madrid from Brazilian club Flamengo this summer he's always being closely watched.
In the match against Chile, Vinicius set up teammate Rodrygo, another sought-after talent for his side's only goal in the 1-1 draw.
With his club side, he has been playing for the 'Castilla,' Real Madrid's 'B' team. Already, we have seen the youngster light up some matches with impressive performances with this reserve squad.
He was particularly excellent in his debut match against rivals Atlético Madrid, scoring a pair of lovely goals to earn the Castilla a 2-2 draw.
Expectations for the Brazilian are unsurprisingly high, with some expecting him to be the one to replace the absolutely massive hole left by superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Some would have perhaps relished the chance to see the two play alongside each other, but alas, that looks unlikely.
When asked about having missed on playing with CR7, Vinicius was understandably disappointed, but he also threw a bit of shade at the Portuguese, calling another teammate of his the world's best.
Madrid are on the verge of their worst ever goal drought. They have not scored since Asensio struck in the first half against Espanyol with 409 minutes now gone by without a goal.
Could the Brazilian youngster be the key to unlocking Real's potential? For now he is focused on his national side duties.

When asked about having missed on playing with CR7, Vinicius was understandably disappointed, but he also threw a bit of shade at the Portuguese, calling another teammate of his the world's best.
“I would have liked to have played alongside him, but I'm playing alongside Modric who is the best in the world," he told Spanish outlet AS. Then, somewhat unexpectedly he pointed to another Real teammate.
"Then there's Karim Benzema. They are the ones who have taken me under their wing and they're the players I want to play alongside.
" When asked about what he thought he could bring to Real Madrid's attack, which has struggled so far this season," he added.
“It will all come in time. For now, I have to keep a cool head; I'm happy to have been able to make a contribution in a couple of games."
Madrid are on the verge of their worst ever goal drought. They have not scored since Asensio struck in the first half against Espanyol with 409 minutes now gone by without a goal.
Could the Brazilian youngster be the key to unlocking Real's potential? For now he is focused on his national side duties.
"It's a dream for any young kid [to play for Real Madrid], but here I am focused only on my duties with the national team and it gives me the chance to chat to Brazilian players and share our experiences," he said.
