Posted by AC Milan director Leonardo addressed the growing rumor that superstar forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic could join AC Milan for a second stint with the Serie A club.
The rumor started only this week, with the Italian outlet Corriere della Sera claiming that Milan are looking for an option to bolster there attack, having already brought in Gonzalo Higuain on a loan deal with the option to buy at the end of the season.
While Zlatan is still playing in the MLS with the L.A. Galaxy at the moment, their season will end by December 8th at the absolute latest, meaning he could join the Rossoneri in the January window.
The big Swede has excelled since moving to the United States, scoring 20 goals in 24 matches and racking up 5 assists on the way.
The Galaxy have struggled on the season though and currently sit outside the playoff places.
Ibrahimovic played two seasons with AC Milan before moving to Paris Saint-Germain in 2012. He scored 28 goals in 32 appearances in his last year with the club and won one Scudetto in his time there.
So could he be heading back to Italy? The director of AC Milan, Leonardo Araújo pumped the breaks on the rumor mill on Thursday, though he did first admit to being excited about the possibility of a move for the Swedish striker.
They came back impressively in their second match in the Europa League group stage against Greek side Olympiakos on Thursday winning 3-1.
