Dangote, an Arsenal fan worth an approximate £8.5billion (N4trillion), has said on a number of occasions that he would attempt to buy the north London club.
Dangote stated that he would buy the club when his oil refinery in Lagos was completed in 2020. But it seems Africa's richest man could look elsewhere if the Kroenke's are not willing to sell.

"I'm very attached to Arsenal but if he won't sell, I might have to change," said the 61-year-old said at a New Economy Forum in Singapore.
"I'm very much a fan of football. I'll like to have a club. I don't have to own Arsenal.
"By the time we've finished [the oil refinery], we'll be a $30bn [N10.9trillion, £22.8billion] company in terms of revenue."
