The Manchester United forward, who set up of his side's goals in Saturday's 2-1 win at Bournemouth, documented his visit on Instagram.
Among the attractions Sanchez visited was Hoa Hakananai'a, a statue taken by a British crew from Chile's Easter Island in 1868.
Sanchez uploaded a video of the statue and added the Chilean flag to make his point.
Saturday's appearance at Bournemouth saw Sanchez start for United for the first time in five matches.
