Crystal Palace 1 - 0 Leicester City

Crystal Palace battled to a 1-0 win against Leicester City at a soggy Selhurst Park, as Roy Hodgson‘s side did the business without their star man Wilfried Zaha.

Luka Milivojevic’s fine strike in the first half was enough to grab all three points for Palace, but Jamie Vardy hit the post in the second half as Leicester battered the Eagles but somehow they couldn’t find an equaliser.

With the win Palace move up to 15th place on 15 points for the season, while Leicester have 22 points and sit in 11th.

Huddersfield Town 0 - 1 Newcastle United

Salomon Rondon scored the lone goal as Newcastle United won its first match in four tries with a 1-0 defeat of Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium.

It’s Rondon’s fourth goal in six games, as Rafa Benitez‘s Magpies move 14th. That’s six points ahead of 18th place, occupied by Huddersfield.

Watford 3 - 2 Cardiff City

Watford beat Cardiff City 3-2 at Vicarage Road, as the Hornets were in control of the game at 3-0 but then survived a late scare to secure all three points.

Superb goals from Gerard Deulofeu, Jose Holebas and Domingos Quina did the damage, while Cardiff’s Neil Etheridge also made a string of fine stops to keep the score down.

But Junior Hoilett curled home a magnificent strike and then Bobby Reid made it 3-2 within a few moments, as Cardiff almost pulled off an incredible late comeback.

With the win Watford climbed to ninth in the table and have 24 points, while Cardiff remain on 14 points.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 2 - 0 Bournemouth

Raul Jimenez and Ivan Cavaleiro scored as Wolverhampton Wanderers won their third-straight match with a 2-0 defeat of Bournemouth at the Molineux.

The win moves Nuno Espirito Santo‘s men into seventh with 25 points, one back of Manchester United.

Bournemouth’s struggles continue after a rich start to the season, the Cherries now 10th with 23 points.
