Posted by Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze has received an offer for a contract extension with the Spanish club, as The Yellow Submarine aim to shield him from the rising number of suitors.
Reports from Spain indicate that Villarreal have already opened talks with Chukwueze over terms of a new and improved contract in an attempt to ward off interest in him.
Chukwueze, who is valued in the region of 40m euros (16.59bn), has retained his place in Villarreal’s starting line-up despite the sack of coach Javi Calleja that gave him his breakthrough.
After getting his debut in September, Chukwueze has grown in leaps and bounds, such that La Liga giants Atletico Madrid have been linked with a January move for the player, who debuted for Nigeria against Uganda in a friendly.
