Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala has stated that she will be a team player and not focus on individual glory when the Super Falcons hit France later this year for the FIFA Women’s World Cup to hold between June 7 to July 7, 2019.
Nigeria qualified for the World Cup as African champions beating the Bayana Bayana of South Africa 4 -2 on penalties in the final of the Africa Women Cup of Nations which took place in Ghana.
The Falcons have been handed a tricky group where they will face host France, Asian giant South Korea and Norway in Group A but the Dalian Quanjian forward said she is not scared of the teams in the group.

I’m really not concerned about the group because I know we will do well if we get the best preparation for the championship. It is 11 vs 11 on the pitch and with the new confidence in the squad I’m sure we will do well.Oshoala has once again been shortlisted in the final 3 – woman list for the Africa Women’s Player of the year award for 2018 alongside compatriot Francesca Ordega and South Africa’s Thembi Kgatlana.
The primary aim is to qualify for the World Cup in France which we have done and hopefully we can win the trophy so whatever thing comes with it whether the MVP or the top scorer award, those are just secondary objectives. I don’t like putting that first because I have won them series of times so it’s not really important to me.
