Posted by Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas will play make his final appearance for the club against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup today before joining Thierry Henry’s Monaco.
The Spaniard is out of favour at Stamford Bridge and the Blues are keen to get his £160,000 (N74million)-a-week salary off the wage bill.
Monaco remain in the relegation zone in Ligue 1 and Henry has called former Arsenal team-mate Fabregas in a desperate plea to get him at the club.
Fabregas is one game shy of making his 500th appearance in English football and the club will grant him the landmark occasion against Forest before allowing him to move on.
Fabregas is said to be excited to link up with Henry but he may take some time to get back to his best after making just 14 appearances for Chelsea so far this term.
The Spaniard won the league title in his first season at Stamford Bridge under Jose Mourinho and won it for a second time during Antonio Conte’s debut campaign.
