Posted by Nigeria Football Federation president, Amaju Melvin Pinnick has thrown more light on the monthly take-home for Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr, as the Nigerian football boss says the Franco-German tactician is now earning $55,000 (N20million) and not $60,000 (N21.87million), as has been reported in some media.
Pinnick insists Rohr is earning only $55,000 (N20million) as his monthly salary, and the NFF surpremo says this is so only because the football body recently approved a $10,000 (N3.7million) increment for the gaffer.
Before the World Cup, it was earlier reported that Rohr was the world’s 24th highest paid coach from all 32 coaches that handled teams at Russia 2018. And that the 64-year-old tactician was earning £436,600 (N203million) per-annum.
In Africa, it was also reported that Rohr was rated third behind Egypt’s Hector Cuper (£1.30m/N605m) per-annum and Herve Renard of Morocco (£681,000/N316.97m), but ahead of Tunisia chief coach, Nabil Maaloul, who was quoted with £305,500 (N142m) per-annum.
Rohr was also at that point ahead of Aliou Cisse of Senegal, who was the lowest-paid of all 32 coaches to Russia 2018, with a £174,500 (N81m) yearly pay.
Pinnick has now thrown the lid off Rohr’s full package, and the NFF boss also dispelled reports that the coach is being owed some of his salaries.

We’re not owing Rohr or any of the national team coaches. We recently renewed the contract of Rohr.
In the new contract is an addition of $10,000 to his monthly salary. His new salary is $55,000 – which is about N2m.
