Ronaldo said after picking the award:
2018 was an incredible year. I hope to win a lot more trophies for my new club, Juventus.
The other Ronaldo, Ronaldo Nazario de Lima won the player career award, with a look back at all the clubs he played for.
Didier Deschamps won the coach of the year award, thanks to taking France to the World Cup title in the summer.
Fabio Capello meanwhile received the coach career award.
Atlético Madrid beat Real Madrid and Liverpool to take the club of the year award.
