The teenage son of Manchester United legend Paul Scholes 'laughed hysterically' as he beat up a man in a pub, a court has heard.
Arron Scholes, 19, is alleged to have carried out the shocking act at an unnamed pub in Oldham, England, in June.
And is even said to have taken a photograph of the man's face during the attack and could now face up to six months in jail, The Sun reports.
His father Paul, 44, mother Claire, and sister Alicia, 17, all accompanied the teenager to Tameside Magistrates' Court, England.
During his appearance, the alleged victim, Robert Kember, said he could not give full details due to the 'nature of the assault and effect on him,' according to The Sun.
Scholes, of Greater Manchester, pleaded not guilty to the assault and will now stand trial on March 18.
His appearance comes just months after his father, who retired from playing professionally in 2013, stepped in to play for son Arron's team - Royton Town.
Despite a loss, Royton manager Mark Howard said that the presence of 43-year-old Scholes - who won 66 England caps between 1997 and 2004 - improved the overall standard of the game and the players involved.
