Real Madrid have confirmed agreement with Manchester City to sign winger Brahim Diaz on a six-and-a-half-year deal.
According to reports, Real will pay City an initial fee of £15.5m (N7billion) for the 19-year-old, which could rise to £22m (N10bn) through a series of add-ons.
City have a 15 per cent profit on any future sale, but that will rise to 40 per cent should Madrid sell Diaz to Manchester United, although Madrid have denied this report.
Diaz has been at City since joining from home-town club Malaga at the age of 14 but has seen first-team opportunities limited at the Etihad, with the likes of Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane and Riyad Mahrez ahead of him in the pecking order.
Diaz posted in a statement on social media:
In total, Diaz has made 15 appearances for Pep Guardiola's side, his most recent being last month's Carabao Cup quarter-final win over Leicester.
